I don’t think my two-year-old is quite ready to choose songs for church just yet.
Tonight with my parents’ church, we enjoyed a lakeside baptism followed by a bonfire with testimonies and singing. After a certain verse was shared, the pastor said, “There’s a song that goes with that…” and before he said another word, a small two-year-old voice drifted out into the night air: “On top of spaghetti, all covered with cheese…” Naturally.
A little while later, after reading a passage of Scripture, the pastor began to introduce another song: “Seek Ye Fir–(turning to his guitarist)–that’s the one, right?”
My daughter figured she could help out with this one as well: “C is for cookie, that’s good enough for me…”
Well, at least she likes to sing!
